Gemstone Designs


From 23 September through 31 December, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, in Elmhurst, Illinois, will be showing the contemporary designs in gemstones of American gem cutter Michael Dyber, of Rumney, New Hampshire.

The exhibit, Michael Dyber: Master of Optical Illusion, includes cut gemstones and sculptures and features Dyber's innovative techniques. Dyber, who has won numerous awards in the United States and Germany for his gemstone carving, will discuss how he creates these masterful optical effects at a lecture on 5 November at the museum.
